Orlando, FL - 2/10/04 - The 2004 Indigenous Heritage Festival has recently added valuable members to its event committee to ensure successful planning and implementation. Out of its commitment to providing a lasting impression on the local community and giving the indigenous world a significant venue for its cultures, the event committee has expanded its reach and resources.
Erica Green of Toronto, Canada was added as Director of Canadian Affairs and is accountable for developing event representation from our neighboring country. Joseph Regenstein IV of Orlando, Florida was added as the event's Financial Director. Hedy Yudaw of Los Angeles, California was added as Director of Design. She is an artist and animator who provides a distinctly indigenous style to the event's presentation.
The 2004 Indigenous Heritage Festival will be the first of an annual event that will travel to metropolitan communities throughout North America, providing locals with the opportunity to be enriched by the spirit and beauty of the indigenous peoples of the world. The event will consist of opportunities to empower the indigenous participants, including performances, exhibits, a film festival, and workshops. Representatives of indigenous tribes will be invited from throughout the United States and other countries. The festival will take place from June 11-15, 2004 at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.
ATAYAL is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The organization was created to provide a voice for the indigenous culture of Taiwan and educate communities in North America.
The Taiwanese Students Association of UCF is a service-oriented student organization with a mission to promote ethnic diversity and educate the campus community on Taiwanese culture.
